Succulents: What You Really Need To Know

Succulents are known as water storage plants. These plants store water in their thick and fleshy leaves.

One of the most often asked questions is: “What is the difference between a succulent and a cactus?” Cactus plants have spines, needles, and/or prickles; most succulents don’t.

To say that succulents are having a moment would be the understatement of the century. What can we think? We can stop looking at them! They are beautiful and diverse.

Succulents ideas that are in trend

Succulents are one of the most popular decorating trends today. Not only because they add a tropical greenery to your settings, they are easy to manipulate and keep alive.

With succulents you can design and freshen up some areas, or use them as luscious additions to your wedding decoration. With their awesome diverse repertoire, here are a handful ideas on how to decorate with succulents.

Succulents Care

While succulents are known for their hardy nature and low maintenance, there are still a few rules you’ll have to follow if you want them to thrive.

Sunlight: Place indoor succulents near big windows! Succulents need bright, direct sunlight four to six hours a day. With indirect lighting will require a lot less water.

Water: Wait until your succulents’ soil is completely dry before watering again. Watering every seven to ten days is typically enough, but always check the soil first. Overwatering can cause root rot. It is always better to revive a plant that has too little water than to overwater.

Soil: Make sure your succulent’s pot is made of well-draining material. Plant succulents in cactus mix.
